Tri 101 is an 8-week training program to prepare you for the "Tri to be EllaStrong" sprint triathlon on June 22nd at the Madison Healthplex. This program is designed for new athletes that may not have any previous triathlon experience. Throughout the 8-weeks, your set of coaches will prepare you for all the race distances: a 300 meter pool swim, a 9 mile bike, and a 3 mile run! The program will have 2 group training sessions per week: Mondays at 5:30am will be the group swim at the Madison Healthplex. Saturdays at 7am will be group bike rides from various locations (Fleet Feet, The Bike Crossing Ridgeland, the Madison Healthplex, etc). Some Saturday morning sessions will include a short run immediately after the bike ride as well. Arash Sepehri USAT (USA Triathlon) is coming back as our certified coach. There will be an informational meeting at Fleet Feet on Tuesday April 23rd at 7:00pm. The program will begin the following Monday, the 29th. Note: Participants in our program must be 18 years old. 16-17 yr old children may participate with parent's approval and waiver signature. Children under 16 may participate provided a parent is present with them during all training sessions.
