Marathon Post-Mortem Part 1

0 Comment(s) | Posted by Chuck Galey

January 7th’s posting is not the end of the story with my training.  The blog posts will now take on more of a recovery, cross-training, nutrition  slant to it as I recover from the marathon and look toward the 5K & 10K season.

It’s mid-January here in Jackson and that means slightly cooler weather than usual.  You certainly could not tell it by the marathon’s weather.  As you know, it was 70º by the time I finished the race.

I would like to take a moment however to thank my wife, Forrest.  She was my support team along the route and handed off my water bottles with NUUN in the water.  She was great, on time and always supportive.

Our family presented her with her own MS Blues Marathon Hand Off Champion medal shown here.  Ain’t it cool?

More marathon post-mortem in the coming days.

Gotta run,
Chuck
