Today’s plan; 5 mile easy run, keeping the pace under 9:20

Time of day: 11:30 a.m.
Temp.: warm, not sure of temp.
Humidity: 40%
Weather: clear and warm
Course: Neighborhood route; some flats with two slight hills.

Today’s run went well.  The course was a familiar one around my neighborhood.  Pretty easy run.

I’m trying to be careful and not hurt anything.  That’s the main goal of the day.  Watch my footing, don’t strain anything or go to fast.

Here are the stats; time on course, 46:53 with an avg. pace of 9:22/mile and a fastest pace of 9:17.  My heart rate max was 171 with an avg. of 151 bpm.  I burned 619 calories.

The MS Blues Marathon is in three days.  I think I’m as ready as I’ll ever be.  The next few days will be a combination of rest and running.  The main goal is to not get hurt or to irritate any existing strains.  So far, so good!

Gotta run,
Chuck
