One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. That’s one too many. So let’s do something about it: For the second year, in collaboration with Mizuno and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, Fleet Feet Jackson will help raise money this October for breast cancer research through Project Zero.
Throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Fleet Feet Jackson will sell an EXCLUSIVE Project Zero edition of Mizuno’s Waveknit R2 running shoe and donate a portion of proceeds to the BCRF. Not only that, but throughout the month, Fleet Feet is hosting several events to increase awareness and build the community of those who have fought and won, and to honor those who we have lost.
1. Visit the store and see our displays, the testimonies, and check out the exclusive apparel and shoes for Project Zero.
2. Invite a friend and join one of our several events this month:
We’re having a pink party at 6 p.m. to kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month and show support for those affected by the disease. Light refreshments, door prizes, and complimentary yoga class at 7p.m. in the store for the first 25 people who RSVP! (email: email@example.com)
We’re teaming up with Mizuno to make strides for a cure, so wear pink and come out to run with us in honor or memory of someone who has been impacted by breast cancer! Our fun runs are free, start from the store parking lot, and have multiple route options.
Join us for an intimate conversation with Molly May, a young breast cancer survivor who will read an excerpt from her book. A Q&A with this young author will be held afterwards. We’ll be collecting new bandanas as a donation to participate, which will benefit nonprofit Caps that Care. Seating is limited, so please RSVP to Kelly Shannon, firstname.lastname@example.org or call (601) 899-9696.
All of these events, the exclusive shoes, the donations, the stories, are to rally together and join the millions of voices saying--we will end Breast Cancer, for good.
